Dear First Ward Resident and Neighbor,

My name is V. Michael Fulginiti. I am presently your First Ward Commissioner. I was appointed in January 2007, due to the unfortunate passing of Commissioner Bill Jones. I would like to introduce myself and ask for your support as I seek a four-year term as First Ward Commissioner in the primary election Tuesday, May 15th.

My family and I have been residents of Aston for 24 years. I am a graduate of Interboro High School 1976 and Cheney University 1979. I have a deep understanding of Aston’s community and its culture. I live on Drayton Road with my wife Andrea. We have raised three children, Kerri 27, Michael 24 and Amber 22 in the community. Our family has had a wonderful growing experience in the township. As commissioner, I would like to provide a safe, secure environment for all the families that live here and ENHANCE the First Ward’s representation.

I am and have been a member of many organizations, Aston Business Association, Aston Lions, Penn Delco School District Advisory Board, Aston Youth Sport Teams and Aston Republican Club. I attend Mount Hope United Methodist Church and bible study. I support the fire and police departments, school and township organizations and teams, as well as, the Veterans Memorial Garden and needy families. I helped develop and initiate Aston’s First Annual Community Day.

I have developed dual businesses in Aston Township from the ground up to become successful service oriented businesses. With 26 years of experience, my business provides clients and customers professional, courteous advice, support and direction. I built Aston Auto Tags and Fulginiti Insurance, using the leadership and managerial skills I used as an employee of a major insurance company where I was responsible for the recruitment, training and the development of personnel. My businesses are built on solid financial judgment and sound business principles. I believe that government should be run the in the same way. I will aggressively work hard to make sure that tax dollars are spent in the most cost efficient method. These skills will be useful as I represent and work hard for the First Ward and Aston. With your support, I will provide accountability and principled leadership.

In the short time I have served as Commissioner, I have had the opportunity to listen and assist First Ward residences with their concerns. I want to continue to represent the First Ward on the Board of Commissioners, to be a representative of the people that listens and is responsive to your needs and respectful of your ideas. I know I have the qualities to represent you, as commissioner, and I would appreciate your support during this election.

I am looking forward to meeting with each resident. In a few weeks you will receive a newsletter outlining specific locations and meeting times, so we can get to know each other better. With the challenges that confront the first ward and the township, I feel my strong business principles, solid financial judgment, accountability and principled leadership will continue to make Aston Township a great place to live.
