I have been a resident of Aston and the 4th Ward for 20 years. Elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2006. Gary and his wife Diana attend St. Josephs church, have two sons that were raised in Aston, both are married and are homeowners in the 4th Ward, a daughter who is a student at Sun Valley and three grandchildren.
Gary was raised in Eddystone where he attended high school and graduated from Ridley High School. He also attended Widener University, Gloucester County College and is a graduate of Delaware County Municipal Police Academy. Gary is a U.S Navy veteran and worked in the electrical power generation industry as a Manufacturing Manager for over 25 years and still serves the industry as an Accounts Manager for land based turbines.
Gary presently is Chairman of the Police Committee, Public Works Committee and serves on the Fire, Ordinance and Sewer Committees.
There are a lot of projects happening throughout the township and in the 4th ward. Along with the many projects under way in the township, the storm water management is our biggest project and is in full swing in the 4th ward. This is a township wide project but has been welcomed by the residents of the 4th ward that have been plagued by water problems over the years. This project has been well planned by the prior board as well as the present board of commissioners, from the funding, planning and engineering, to construction and is being monitored and inspected by the township engineering office. Although being inconvenienced during construction, I’m sure it will be well worth it when completed. I will also be following the proposal for developing the Old Mercury Gun Club closely. As it is every developers right to build and develop their properties, it is my intent and obligation as your commissioner to work with developers to build value added entities that are both profitable to the builder and have a positive impact in the 4th Ward and the community. We also ran our first fundraiser for the 4th ward last year, which was a sell out and a great time by all that attended. We plan on doing it again this year, please watch for the date and time. Proceeds went towards our annual Easter Egg Hunt which we had a great turn out and other events that we are planning for the 4th Ward.
I’d like to thank our committee people in the 4th Ward and all our residents and friends that have help make these events a success.
If you have any questions on what’s happening in the 4th Ward or the township or you would like to help with upcoming events in the 4th Ward please contact me or one of the committee people.
